7 Ways to Enhance Your Digestion
Chinese medicine has important information to share when it comes to preserving the strength of our digestion. The following suggestions help us to be mindful when eating. Remember make changes gradually, one at a time to create the best possible outcomes.
Eat at the same or similar times every day.
Eat like a king at breakfast, a merchant at lunch and a pauper in the evening. That is have your biggest portions earlier in the day and smaller portions later in the day. Try to eat before 7.30 in the evenings.
Be mindful when eating. Concentrate on chewing (the stomach does not have teeth), enjoy the flavours and be relaxed (yep off with the TV).
Eat regularly. Smaller frequent meals suit a lot of people. The digestion can get get damaged if we get too hungry and then eat too much.
Cooked food is best and it is often crisp too. If you fancy raw food it is best to be consumed in the summer months.
Leave the table feeling you could eat a little more.
Changes in diet are best done gradually so that we can adjust physically, mentally and emotionally.
As you make these changes you could expect smoothness of emotions, clarity of mind, soundness of being and expansiveness of spirit.
Happy eating
